PROGRESS OVER PERFECTION

Often we don't even start to take action because we think we are not ready, we want to read more about a specific topic or we are not ideally prepared. Out of the fear of making mistakes, we make the biggest mistake and do nothing. We often fail to realise that we learn best from our mistakes and that is how we develop most quickly. Some mistakes hurt and set us back in the short term, but they teach us a lot for the way ahead. This artwork reminds us that it is much more important to get into action rather than trying to do everything perfectly, at the risk of making little or no progress. The intentionally unfinished net in the right-hand centre of the artwork is also symbolic of the fact that what we consider a mistake is often neither noticed nor seen as a mistake by others.
